Our TransFerm product is the first bioengineered yeast successfully introduced into the grain-based fuel ethanol industry and is a replacement for conventional fermenting yeast.  TransFerm lowers the costs for fuel ethanol producers by alleviating the need to purchase a significant amount of the glucoamylase (GA) enzymes, which is currently used in the fuel ethanol production process.  As of today, TransFerm is used commercially in over 30 fuel ethanol facilities in the U.S.  In addition, commercial-scale trials are underway at many other fuel ethanol production plants.

TransFerm and TransFerm Yield+ are commercialized in partnership with Lallemand Biofuels and Distilled Spirits
